When will the Nikon D800 be released ?

Don’t get too excited, I don’t know anything that everybody else doesn’t already know.

The Nikon D800, or D700x or whatever will probably not be available for another five or six months. Anyway that is what all the people who know these things are saying.

I agree, I think it will be a spring release and wouldn’t be surprised if it goes by D700s in line with the D3s therefore having video but it is useless unless it has 1080 video since Canon now has it. Personally I don’t want video in my still camera but I also realize that it is the way the business is going.

I have been involved in photography for 30 years (that makes me sound old) and currently operate an on location digital studio that specializes in wedding, portrait, commercial, event, sports, and stock photography.
