Every photographer knows that you should try to avoid shooting in the middle of the day. The shadows are too dark and the highlights are all way too bright. No film or digital camera has ever been able to handle the extreme range from dark to light. So forget it, go home and go to sleep for a few hours. In places closer to the equator, it actually means that you might as well go to sleep for most of the day. Odd as it may sound, a lot of professional photographers do just that when they have to deal with outdoor photography. They shoot for a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon, the rest of the time is spent on preparing for the next day and working on the computer to perfect the last shoot.
